While Imran Tahir is definitely one of the best white-ball spinners in the world at present, there is little denying that his famous celebration played a big part in his popularity.
Every time the South African spinner takes a wicket, he celebrates it an animated manner with his famous ‘running’ celebration. As soo as the veteran spinner takes the wicket, he wheels away with his arms wide open. His celebration has earned him praise from many for his passion for the game but the same celebration has also been the source of several hilarious memes.

Imran Tahir, nonetheless, recently revealed the biggest distance he covered while celebrating a wicket on the cricket field. Speaking to Ravichandran Ashwin, the South Africa star revealed the hilarious incident when he started celebrating on the field and ended up on a nearby road.
The leg-spinner revealed that during a county game 15 years ago, he was so thrilled after the fall of last that he ran out of the ground and ended up on the road outside it. Imran Tahir added that people laughed at it but it was sheer passion for him.
“I call it pure passion. I don’t know where it comes from. In club cricket in England, 15 years ago, after a wicket and a brilliant catch, I ran. Out of the ground, on the bank, to the road. I had to walk back. People were laughing. I didn’t know. It was funny, but that’s how I’ve been. I don’t know how people see it. There’s no celebration plan. Every wicket is important,” Imran Tahir said.
