Mumbai  Indians won the toss and decided to field first against Kings XI Punjab in the thirty-fourth match of the Indian Premier League at the Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore.

Here is what the captains said:

Rohit Sharma: We will field first. It’s a high scoring ground, we want to have the runs in front of us when we come out to bat. You win some games, you lose some, looking at our losses – there are certain areas we need to improve. Our batting has clicked at times, but not the bowlers and vice-versa. We need to click as a team, show some intent and take responsibility as a group. Just one change, Pollard misses out, Evin Lewis is back.

Ashwin: It’s a small and high scoring ground, we would have bowled first as well, but there’s some moisture on the surface and the wicket will hold good, might spin later on. We didn’t have alot of practice sessions, have quite a few old boys, had our feet up and took rest. Everyone are fresh and raring to go. We are the underdogs, we will play with nothing to lose, we have had a good first half, looking for more of the same now. Three changes for us – Yuvraj Singh, Marcus Stoinis and Axar Patel are in.
