Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) fast bowler Shivam Mavi has said that the team’s target is to win four-to-five matches out of the remaining six games. The Dinesh Karthik led team has had a fluctuating season as they have won half of their matches so far. Kolkata has won four out of the eight matches they have played in the ongoing season eleven of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Thus, the Kolkata-bound franchise is placed in the middle half of the points table with eight points under their belt.

To qualify for the playoffs stage, a team must win at least seven matches. Consequently, Kolkata must win four matches to cement their place in the final four of the tournament.

“We have been playing some good cricket. We have six matches to go. Our target would be to win the remaining four-five matches from here on,” Mavi told reporters on the eve of the game.

Mavi has impressed with his brisk pace in the IPL 2018. The young pacer added they will like to exploit Super Kings’ weaknesses in their next match.

“They are experienced. However, we have been doing well. We will focus on their weakness. Yes, we are a bit short on experience, but if we focus on their weakness, we will win,” Mavi added.

Shivam Mavi was the part of the Under-19 World Cup winning Indian team.

The teenage pace sensation Mavi stated that he is in constant touch with his coach Rahul Dravid and the latter keeps motivating him whenever he leaks runs.

“I am in touch with him regularly. Whenever I concede runs, if I concede more runs, I ask him how to go about it. He keeps motivating me,” added KKR fast bowler.

Knight Riders will have their work cut out against Super Kings’ juggernauts. The Men in Purple will have to be at the top of their game if they need to get the better off the Men in Yellow.

Chennai had won by five wickets when these two teams had met earlier in the season. Thus, Kolkata will like to take their revenge.
