In their last game, KKR faced a disappointing four-wicket defeat against Delhi Capitals, leaving them in the eighth position on the points table, with only two wins from their six opening games.

Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets, limiting Sunrisers to just 137 while batting first, and then Devon Conway’s match-winning knock of 77* off 57 helped chase the target with ease.

KKR skipper Nitish Rana won the toss as he opted to bowl first while talking about the changes to the playing eleven. Rana also talked about the field conditions and how that plays out for the playing eleven as his team looks for a crucial win.

“Would like to bowl. Looks a good pitch. Will be better to chase if dew comes. If we can click in all three departments, result will be in our favour. Two changes – Wiese in for Litton, Jagadeesan in for Mandeep.“

Chennai Super King’s MS Dhoni also talked about making no changes to his playing eleven as the team look for an important win at home to go up top on the points table. Talking during the toss MS Dhoni said that he would have opted to bowl if he had won the toss.

“Would’ve bowled first as well. Players have grown in confidence, especially the bowling department. What is important is for everyone to contribute. Take that one good catch, one good run out. I have played a lot of cricket over here. I have a job at Khadakpur which was two hours from here. The love comes from there. No changes to the team.”
