Mayank Agarwal, India vs Windies
Mayank Agarwal earned his maiden call-up for the Windies series.

Mayank Agarwal continued his scintillating form to guide India B to a seven-wicket win over India A in the ongoing quadrangular series involving Australia A and South Africa A.

Agarwal scored yet another hundred to take his team over the line after a clinical effort from his bowlers. Prasidh Krishna was spectacular with the ball to contain star-studded India A line-up.

Batting first, India A didn’t have a great start as they lost their first wicket in the second over. Ravikumar Samarth was the first to depart as Krishna trapped him in front of the wicket. The young fast bowler continued his magical spell picking two crucial wickets at that go.

He removed Suryakumar Yadav next and bagged his third trapping in front India A skipper Shreyas Iyer. Reeling at 45 for 3, last match hero Ambati Rayudu started to steady the ship for his team. He continued his excellent run, however, lacked support from the other end.

Ambati Rayudu partnered Sanju Samson, who came late in the innings to steer the innings. The duo added 30 runs before Rayudu departed two short of his half-century. Samson (32) and Krishnappa Gowtham (35) chipped in with significant contributions to cross the 200-run mark.

It was an easy reply as Mayank Agarwal provided with a swashbuckling start. He and Ishan Kishan provided India B with a solid start adding 50 runs for the first wicket. Although they lost a wicket, the runs kept coming in. Agarwal then partnered Shubman Gill to add 103 runs for the second wicket. Gill departed scoring 42 runs but Agarwal and skipper Manish Pandey they reach the target quite comfortably put by India A.

Pandey remained unbeaten on 21 runs with seven wickets in hand. Meanwhile, with this win, India B goes top of the table with two wins from four games.
