At a time when nothing is going right for Pakistan in the ongoing World Cup, their star man Mohammad Amir has made a heartfelt plea to the fans. The Pakistani fans have been slamming the players relentlessly in the wake of defeat to arch-rivals India. With that defeat, Pakistan now have only 3 points from five games. They are now staring down the barrel and are in danger of exiting at the group stage.
Pakistan had a dismal day on the field against India. The reigning Champions Trophy holders just could not challenge India as they lost the game by 89 runs (DLS method). Asked to bat first, India piled up a mammoth total of 336 for 5. Rohit Sharma starred with the bat, scoring 140 while KL Rahul and Virat Kohli scored 57 and 77 respectively.

In reply, Pakistan failed to provide any sort of challenge to their formidable opponents. Barring the 104-run stand between Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam, they never really looked in contention to chase down the total. They eventually finished on 212 for 6 in 40 overs, thus losing the game by 89 runs (DLS method).
