Former Indian team skipper Rahul Dravid’s son Samit Dravid has continued his good run of form by scoring yet another scintillating century, to help Mallya Aditi International School – to make it to the semis of the BTR Shield Under-14 Group I, Division II Tournament.

The youngster recently made headlines by slamming two double centuries within three months, and Samit has scored yet another ton as he guided his team to an easy victory on Tuesday.

The 14-year-old scored 166 runs off 131 balls courtesy of 24 boundaries in a brilliant show. He wrapped up an all-round performance by further scalping four wickets for 35 runs as his team romped to a massive total of 330 runs.

In reply, Vidyashilp Academy could muster up just 182 runs in 38.5 overs, before getting bowled out.

Apart from Samit, Anway Dravid also scored a half-century but missed out on a well-deserved ton by just 10 runs.

Rahul Dravid’s son Samit Dravid Continues To Shine At U14 Level:

The youngster is an apt example of the old adage, ‘Like Father, Like Son’ as he continues to shine at the U14 level.

Son of the former Indian great Rahul recently grabbed headlines by scoring a second double ton against Sri Kumaran Children’s academy earlier this month. He required just 146 balls to smash a brilliant double century.

Besides, Samit’s innings included 33 boundaries. It was his second double ton in three months, having earlier hit one in December 2019.

While playing for Vice President’s XI against Dharwad Zone in a U14 inter-zonal match, junior Dravid had scored 201 runs in Kolkata. Captaining the Vice President’s XI, he played 256 balls back then, whilst scoring 22 boundaries.

Samit also scored an unbeaten 94 runs in the second essay but the match ended as a draw. Earlier, he had also picked up three wickets.
