Shakib Al Hasan to lead Bangladesh in Nidahas Trophy

Veteran all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan will lead the Bangladesh side in the upcoming Nidahas Trophy. Shakib makes a comeback from an injury that ruled him out of the tri-series comprising of Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
Meanwhile, Nidahas Trophy marks the 70 years o Sri Lankan independence. It is a triangular T20 tournament involving host Sri Lanka and India.
However, Bangladesh had a poor start to this year with three consecutive loss. To start with, they lost the tri-series final against Sri Lanka followed by the Test and T20I series loss against the Islanders at home.

Shakib to lead in Sri Lanka:
Meanwhile, Bangladesh has named a strong side for the upcoming tournament. They have retained experienced Tamil Iqbal along with Soumya Sarkar at the top. Further, they have a jam-packed middle-order in the form of Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, and Shakib.
The bowling department also looks good with Mehidy Hasan leading the spinning pack.
Mustafizur Rehman, who is playing in the Pakistan Super League will join the likes of Rubel Hossain and Taskin Ahmed to share the pace bowling duty.
However, all eyes will be on Shakib Al Hasan who makes a comeback from injury. He will be crucial for Bangladesh in the upcoming tour.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh is yet to take a call for the head coach’s role. However, legendary West Indian pacer and bowling coach of Bangladesh – Courtney Walsh will act as head coach for the tournament.
