DC-W vs GUJ-W: “Well Deserved Victory”- Twitter Hails Gujarat Giants As They Win Thrilling WPL 2023 Match vs DC Women

Gujarat Giants (GG) would be booming with confidence after defeating the star-studded DC Women’s team. GG won the match by 11 runs and now have won 2 matches out of 6 in WPL 2023 and are still in the race of playoffs. Apart from DC-W batter Marizzane Kapp not a single batter scored 30-odd runs, which was quite astounding.
It was a collective effort from GG bowlers as defending 148 runs is never easy in modern cricket irrespective of the wicket. Sneh Rana was spot on with her field placings and made sure that GG didn’t give easy boundaries to the opposition. GG bowlers had taken 3 wickets in the powerplay overs of Meg Lanning, Shafali Verma & Alice Capsey which proved to be the turning point of the match

DC-W would be crestfallen as their batters lacked mental application. There were high hopes for Jemimah Rodrigues but the batter was dismissed cheaply. DC Women would rue their bowling in the last 10 overs they gave away 93 runs. It won’t be wrong to say that DC Women got a reality check as their middle order was exposed.
GG batters Ashleigh Gardner & Laura Wolvaardt had struck half-centuries and looked in complete control of the innings. Skipper Sneh Rana would believe that they can still reach the playoffs despite suffering a string of losses in the initial stage of the tournament where they were off-colour.

Twitter Reacts as Gujarat Giants Stun DC Women In WPL 2023
Well played @GujaratGiants luck on our side with this one. Important not to bat so conservatively from the next game. I can understand playing slow today considering our history of collapses, but that sort of score won't do. And don't play Mansi Joshi again. #GujaratGiants

Gujarat Giants have certainly earned a victory here! Sneh Rana deserves recognition for the way they led the team, despite any missteps from the management. It's a shame that Royal Challengers Bangalore were knocked out of the #WPL2023 tournament.#DCvsGG #TATAWPL pic.twitter.com/qRFMX0Wuqp

Many of us think we know it better by just watching the game.
Almost everybody was critisizing Laura for her innings ignoring the turn and tennis bounce pitch offered due to excessive moisture.
Not every pitch is a belter. #CricketTwitter #WPL2023
