Mumbai Indians’ all-rounder, Krunal Pandya, has been the talk of the town in recent times for his poor on-field attitude with his teammates. Before IPL 2021 began, Krunal stirred up a massive controversy when Deepak Hooda, his teammate from Baroda, accused him of abusive behaviour in the training sessions ahead of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Later, Deepak Hooda was himself suspended by the Baroda Cricket Association for a year, barring him from playing any domestic cricket for over a year. After the incident, Krunal’s father, Himanshu Pandya had passed away and Krunal stayed away from the team throughout the tournament.

On Thursday, Krunal’s IPL franchise, Mumbai Indians, took on Rajasthan Royals in match 24 of IPL 2021 in the first match of the Thursday doubleheader. As Mumbai Indians came out to chase, Krunal Pandya was promoted to bat ahead of Hardik Pandya and Kieron Pollard and the all-rounder didn’t disappoint. However, once again, his in-field conduct was at his poorest as a video has surfaced online showing how he carelessly threw away the moisturizer towards his teammate, Anukul Roy.

The latter got off to a flier thanks to a couple of good knocks from Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal. However, the Mumbai bowlers bounced back in the game and restricted Rajasthan to 171/4 in their 20 overs.

Quinton de Kock was once again being back to his best as he smashed a scintillating half-century to ensure Mumbai’s 7-wicket win over Rajasthan Royals. Mumbai have now gone on the fourth spot in the IPL 2021 points table as they next take on their most fierce rival, the Chennai Super Kings.
