IND vs SA: Watch - Rishabh Pant Mocks Rassie Van der Dussen After He Forgets Where His Guard Is
Indian wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pant had a field day out in the middle as he continuously mocked Rassie van der Dussen after the latter sledged Pant during the third innings.
On Day 3 of the Johannesburg Test, things got spicier. Rassie stood at short leg while Pant was fielding and made a few comments to which Pant responded verbally. However, his riposte with the bat failed as he fell playing a terrible shot on the very next delivery.
In response, Pant awaited the arrival of Rassie to the crease before he began his usual chatter. He kept pointing out that the South Africans ‘can only score off edges’ and their No.4 batter (Rassie) forgot where his guard is.
Rishabh Pant’s words were caught in the stump mic saying:
“It’s too easy to talk, let’s go..After 5-6 balls he is forgetting where his guard is…batting at No. 4 he has no idea..”

The talk continued till the end of Ravichandran Ashwin’s spell, which Rassie managed to survive barely. Apart from the duel between Pant and Rassie, there was another incident that threatened to boil over.
Marco Jansen bowled a flurry of bouncers to Jasprit Bumrah which hit the Indian pacer on his right shoulder. Although Bumrah played it off in the beginning, continuous bouncers from Jansen triggered the 27-year-old.
He walked down the track and had a bit of a go at Jansen before the umpires and Dean Elgar stepped in to hold the duo back. It was not the first time that Bumrah engaged in a verbal fight over bouncers. A similar incident had taken place at Lord’s last August against England as well.
