Ishan Kishan has been in the news in recent times after Rishabh Pant has failed to live up to the expectations with the bat. The Jharkhand cricketer is knocking the doors and will be keen to push his claims more with good outings in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

The wicket-keeper batsman has been in good form for India A and will hope to keep up his good run in the domestic 50-overs competition. Kishan, who can bat anywhere in the order, will be a huge benefit to the Jharkhand side, who will be playing without MS Dhoni.

The young cricketer will have to shoulder responsibilities if they have to progress further in the competition.

SHREYAS IYER

Shreyas Iyer has cemented his spot in the limited-overs side with his consistent returns against West Indies. India made a change in their middle-order after the World Cup and Iyer grabbed the opportunities with both hands.

The swashbuckling is the backbone of the Mumbai side and will hope to lead the team from the front. Iyer is well-known to step during the need of his team and the ongoing Vijay Hazare will be no different.

He has some good records in the domestic 50-overs competition and will hope to keep up the good job over the next one month.

The upcoming matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy will be the lifeline for KL Rahul to make a mark of himself and retain his place in the playing XI. The Karnataka opener has been completely out of form in recent times and also has lost his place in the playing XI.

Rahul is one of the most talented batsmen around and he will have to find his form in the domestic 50-overs competition to reclaim his place in the national side. He has the skillset to success and scored a lot runs fo his domestic side and needs to continue doing the job consistently.

Manish Pandey made a comeback to the Indian team right after the World Cup in the series against West Indies. But the senior player has failed to grab his opportunities and lost his place in the playing XI to Shreyas Iyer.

The Karnataka skipper will be desperate to hit the form in the Vijay Hazare Trophy to make his way back into the Indian team. Pandey has scored tons of runs in domestic cricket and Karnataka will want their skipper to do the job what he does the best.

He is one of the contenders to finish as the highest run-scorer and all eyes will be on Manish Pandey on how he fares in the competition.

AMBATI RAYUDU

Ambati Rayudu has come out of his retirement to play for Hyderabad in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The 33-year-old shocked the world when he announced his retirement on the back of World Cup snubs. Later on, he came back saying that it was an emotional decision and he still has a lot to give to the team.

The challenge will be on Rayudu’s side to answer the critics and the selection panel headed by MSK Prasad. He is extremely good when it comes to subcontinent wickets and Hyderabad will rely on their skipper to lead the team from the front.

Rayudu will like to use these matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy as a platform to make claims for another international comeback in the upcoming series.
