The ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League is throwing surprises every now and then. And when we are talking about surprises, we are not taking about upsets or interesting matches but weird bowling and batting actions. Ravichandran Ashwin has been at the centre of all these surprises. Known for his love of trying out new variations, Ashwin has left many amused with his weird bowling action in the tournament.

Well on Saturday, Ashwin got a taste of his own medicine courtesy his state and India teammate Murali Vijay. Both the stars tried out their actions against each other when Dindigul Dragons locked horns against Ruby Trichy Warriors in the 20th match of the Tamil Nadu Premier League. The incident took place in the 16th over of the innings when Ashwin came out to bowl with Vijay going great guns.

The India off-spinner was back to his old tricks and tried out his weird action in order to get his work done. Well, Vijay was not ready to look like a fool and gave Ashwin a taste of his own medicine by switching to left-handed batting. On the fifth delivery of the over, Vijay also hit Ashwin for a maximum and hit another six when Ashwin came to bowl his last over.

Talking about the game, the Dragons beat the Warriors by five wickets. Asked to bat first, the Warriors posted a challenging total of 178 for 3 in the allotted 20 overs. Murali Vijay was the top-scorer for his side, scoring 99.

However, his effort was overshadowed by a century from N Jagadeesan. Jagadeesan scored an unbeaten 105 to take his side home. With this win, the Dragons registered their fifth win of the tournament in as many games while the Warriors lost their fifth game in a row.
