New Zealand southpaw pacer Neil Wagner grabbed a fine caught-and-bowl to dismiss Australia’s opener, David Warner. In the first pink-ball Test match at Perth, Wagner bowled a low full toss and Warner could not time it to perfection. The left-hander’s bat turned in his hands and the ball went back to the bowler. Wagner who was in his follow-through, took a fine catch while sliding to his right.

In fact, the left-arm pacer took the catch with his right hand, which is his wrong hand. It was a crucial wicket for the visitors as David Warner was in fine form. The aggressive batsman had scored 489 runs in two innings he played against Pakistan.

It was a fine grab from Wagner.

The left-hander also scored an unbeaten knock of 335 runs in the second Test. Warner was once again looking good as he had scored 43 runs with the help of four fours but his innings was ended by Wagner. The southpaw Kiwi fast bowler is one of the best in the red ball version and he is placed at the fourth rank in the ICC Test rankings.

Meanwhile, Australia’s skipper Tim Paine won the toss and decided to bat first. New Zealand all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme was able to get the first wicket as he plumbed Australian opener Joe Burns in front of the wicket.

Australia’s two gutsy batsmen, Marnus Labuschagne and Steven Smith are currently batting. Consequently, both of them will like to get a big score for the hosts.

Labuschange had scored 347 runs against Pakistan and he would like to continue his good form going. On the other hand, Smith had a quiet series against Pakistan and he would like to be at his best in this series against the Blackcaps.

Here is a one-handed blinder from Neil Wagner:
