While the Women’s Premier League saw some great buys in the first-ever auction last night, there were some big overseas stars that missed on a contract.

As teams were allowed to have just six overseas players in their squad, we were bound to see some major names miss out on a deal. English star batter Danielle Wyatt who has been one of the key figures for her national side penned out an emotional tweet after going unsold in the auction.

Having delivered remarkable performances for her country’s team over time, Danielle Wyatt presently holds the 16th position in the ICC’s list of top women’s batters.

There were some big names that went unsold in the auction alongside Danielle Wyatt, as stars such as Stephanie Taylor, Kate Kross, and Katherine Brunt amongst others were unable to earn a WPL contract due to overseas player limits and a limited budget.
