As per reports, the remaining 31 matches of IPL 2021 will be split into 10 double headers, 7 single headers, and 4 playoffs, which will be fit into the 21-day window the BCCI hopes to create before the ICC T20 World Cup.
IPL 2021 2nd Phase: Strongest Playing XI Of Rajasthan Royals (RR) Without English Players
Sanju Samson
Samson was selected as the skipper of The Royals ahead of the season. However, he did not have a good start to his captaincy stint with the side losing four out of their first seven games. In the absence of both Buttler and Stokes, he will have to open the batting.
Yashasvi Jaiswal
The left-handed promised more than delivered in the few games that he played. He scored 66 from three games and would like to make a substantial contribution to the UAE leg of IPL 2021. With Manan Vohra struggling for form, Jaiswal should grab his opportunity.
Chris Morris
Morris was roped in with hefty bucks by the Rajasthan Royals franchise in the IPL 2021 auction. He scored an unbeaten 36 to take his side home in a match against Delhi Capitals. In the absence of Buttler and Stokes, Morris should be sent at number three and given the maximum overs to bat.
Riyan Parag
A lot of faith was kept on Parag and his finishing abilities by coach Kumar Sangakkara ahead of the start of the season. However, not a lot of it was transformed into performance. The UAE leg allows Parag to show his true potential and play the finisher’s role for the side.
David Miller
Miller is a replacement for Stokes at number five in the batting line-up. He made a name for himself playing for Punjab Kings. His big-hitting prowess makes him in the final phase of the IPL with the absence of key players in the Rajasthan Royals batting line up.
Shivam Dube
Rahul Tewatia
Tewatia scored 255 runs and picked up more than 10 wickets for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021. Given the kind of season he had last year, he is an automatic selection. He picked two wickets in the first phase of IPL 2021 and scored 86 runs.
Shreyas Gopal
The leg spinner has been one of the main strike bowlers for the side for a few years now. He has had the better of the likes of Virat Kohli, AB De Villiers, MS Dhoni in the past. He did not get much opportunity in the first half. But the bigger grounds in the UAE make a case for his selection in the Rajasthan Royals playing XI.
Jaydev Unadkat
The discarded Indian pacer has been one of the veterans in domestic cricket. he has won the faith of the Rajasthan Royals management and slots in at number nine as the leader of the bowling attack for the inaugural IPL champions. Recently he was termed as being ‘too old’ for an India comeback by the BCCI selectors.
??Andrew Tye
Tye is a T20 specialist and in the absence of Jofra Archer and Mustafizur Rahman, becomes a crucial cog in the bowling department. He won the Purple Cap with Kings XI Punjab in IPL 2018 and will require to bring in all his experience.
Chetan Sakariya
Sakariya completes the Rajasthan Royals XI for the remaining phase of IPL 2021 without English players. he lost his father unfortunately to COVID soon after the season was suspended. He will definitely make a stronger comeback in the second half of the season. He picked up seven wickets from seven games before the season came to a halt.
