Australia defeated Bangladesh in their previous match in ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Bowling first, Australia crushed Bangladesh to just 73 all-out. Most of the batsmen got out for single-digit scores. Shamim Hossain scored most 19 runs for the team.

Later, David Warner hit 18 runs while Aaron Finch slammed 40 off 20 balls. Australia easily won the match in just 6.2 overs and defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets. Adam Zampa picked 5 wickets and was awarded player of the match.

Talking about West Indies, the team lost to Sri Lanka in the previous game. With their half-centuries, Pathum Nissanka (51) and Charith Asalanka (68) took Sri Lanka to a good total of 189-3 batting first. Dasun Shanaka also hit a quickfire 25.

West Indies could not get a quick start while batting. Later, Nicholas Pooran slammed 46 while Shimron Hetmyer scored unbeaten 81 runs. However, they could take the team home. West Indies managed 169-8 in 20 overs and lost the match by 20 runs.
