One of the most shocking exclusions from India’s T20 World Cup squad was that of Yuzvendra Chahal, India’s leading wicket-taker in the T20I format. Alongside Kuldeep Yadav, Chahal had been the go-to bowler in the limited-overs format.

Shreyas Iyer’s exclusion was equally shocking as the young Indian batsman was once touted to lead the team on the international stage.
