The Sri Lanka team has unveiled their new jersey which the players will be wearing for the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021. Sri Lanka, the 2014 T20 World Cup champions, failed to secure a direct place in the Super 12 stage, and hence will have to play in ‘Round 1’, a qualifying round, to proceed to Super 12.
The team will feel fresh and will be hoping to be energised donning their new jerseys. Azzam Ameen, a Colombo-based Sri Lankan journalist, took to his Twitter account to share a photo of batsman Dinesh Chandimal in the new outfit.

Sri Lanka recently defeated India in a T20I series by 2-1 at home. The side that has been struggling for the past few years will take plenty of confidence from beating India, albeit a second-string Indian side.
Dasun Shanaka’s team will begin their campaign against Namibia on October 18. They will then meet Ireland and the Netherlands teams on October 20 and 22, respectively.
Sri Lanka name final 15-man squad for T20 World Cup
Mystery spinner Akila Dananjaya returns to Sri Lanka’s side after not featuring against India. Dananjaya, Lahiru Kumara and Binura Fernando were initially named in the reserves but then were promoted to the final 15-man squad.
The trio of Niroshan Dickwella, Kusal Mendis and Danushka Gunathilaka, who were banned for a year for breaking the Covid-19 protocols on their tour of England in July, continue to be kept away from the national side despite their experience.
