Chasing the target Indian openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul had an amazing 86 runs partnership and in the end, India won the match by 9 wickets by completing the chase in 15.2 overs.
As A Bowler I Enjoyed The Game – Ravindra Jadeja
Ravindra Jadeja, who gave only 14 runs in his 4 overs quota during the post-match presentation said that he enjoyed bowling a lot as the ball was dry. Jadeja stated:
“As a bowler I enjoyed the game, the ball was dry and that is always good for a spinner. Some turned and some didn’t so the batsman had to keep guessing.”
Talking about his partnership with off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin, Jadeja said:
“I’ve been playing with Ashwin for 10 years, he’s played well in the IPL with the white ball, and he’s brought that here.”
Ravindra Jadeja also spoke about his captain Virat Kohli who today played his last T20 International game as a captain and said that he’s always “positive and aggressive”.
Jadeja added that he has enjoyed working with Ravi Shastri, Bharat Arun and R Sridhar who no longer are the coaches of the Indian team and their contracts have come to an end. Ravindra Jadeja said:
“Virat has been a wonderful captain, and I’ve played with him for 10-12 years. He is always positive and aggressive and that’s what you want as a player. Bharat Arun, Mr. Sridhar, and Shastri bhai were really good to support us, and whoever comes next, we’ll look to continue the momentum.”
