England takes on Pakistan in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Melbourne. The match starts at 1.30 pm IST. Both teams have won the title once before. Pakistan won it in 2009 while England won it in 2010. The two teams played twice in T20 World Cups so far with England winning both matches.

Alex Hales

Hales will open the batting with Buttler. Since his comeback to the T20I side, he has grabbed the opportunity with both hands. He is England’s second-highest run-scorer with 211 runs in 5 games averaging 52.75 and striking nearly at 150.

Livingstone will slot in at six. He has become a multi-dimensional player for England in the last couple of years. Moeen Ali

Ali will slot in at seven. He has scored 34 runs in 4 innings so far. One of those knocks was an unbeaten 24 against Ireland. Jos Buttler did not use Ali with the ball against India but might fall back on his experience in the final against Pakistan.
