Pakistan Cricket Team suffered a heart-breaking loss against Zimbabwe. The Men in Green lost the match by a mere 1 run as chasing 131 runs is not a difficult task by any means in modern Cricket. Due to this loss, Pakistan now is on the brink of getting eliminated from the marquee tournament.
Zimbabwe, on the other hand, would be pumped up after this triumph as they made a statement to the World Cricket that they are not a finished product. The team showed great fighting spirit throughout the run chase. Zimbabwe now has 3 points in the tournament out of 2 matches whereas Pakistan is yet to open its account in T20 World Cup 2022.
Pakistan Qualification Scenarios
Pakistan’s fate is not in their hands anymore. Even if they win their next three matches they would be ruled out of the tournament.
Pakistan's qualification scenarios:
– Win all three mts
– Pray for India or Netherlands to defeat South Africa
– Pray for Bangladesh or India to defeat ZimbabweOR
– Win all three mts big
– Pray for India to lose two out of Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and South Africa#T20WorldCup— Farid Khan (@_FaridKhan) October 27, 2022
Poor Performance from Pakistan
Pakistan should have made sure that they score 40-45 runs in the power-play overs which would have given them a slight edge. There has been a lot of dependency on Babar and Rizwan and we saw today how the rest of the batters struggled in the middle.
Shan Masood and Shadab Khan showed some fights but one of them should have stayed till the end. The Men in Green now need a miracle to reach the Semi-Finals. The management should be questioned for the batters lack of intent during the run chase.
