Indian Cricket Team looks like a powerful unit for the marquee tournament. The Men in Blue have rediscovered their mojo and now is looking threatening. The resurgence of Virat Kohli has been the biggest positive as the batter is looked at in sublime touch.

A billion people would be hoping that the team peaks at the right time and avoids the 2021 debacle. The management would be aware of Australian conditions where smashing boundaries won’t be easy as compared to India. The team will have to convert singles into twos and wait for a bad delivery.

Gautam Gambhir on Virat Kohli

Gautam Gambhir was having an interaction with Star Sports ahead of the Australia Warm-Up Match and was asked about Virat Kohli.  “Make runs that help Indian win the WC, don’t concentrate on individual records,”  Gambhir said.

Virat Kohli Invaluable

The right-handed batter was a part of the 2015 World Cup as he knows the conditions quite well. He will have to guide Suryakumar Yadav as the batter has been in brilliant form. There are chances that Virat may have to play the second fiddle as Suryakumar Yadav has been in blistering form.

The management would be aware of the fact that they need to be spot-on with team selection. Head Coach Rahul Dravid and Skipper Rohit Sharma should not look to experiment now as changing the combination of the team can prove to be risky. It would be interesting to see who gets the nod for the 3rd seamer as Harshal Patel & Mohammed Shami are competing for it.
