Former England National Cricket Team captain Kevin Pietersen has stated that the Jos Buttler-led side delivered an “exquisite semi-final performance” against India and claimed that Pakistan will be “petrified” of England.
On Thursday, England crushed India by 10 wickets at the Adelaide Oval in semi-final 2 thanks to an absolute destruction from Jos Buttler and Alex Hales. Now, they will take on Pakistan, who defeated New Zealand in semi-final 1, in the summit clash of the World Cup at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Notably, Pietersen was part of England’s 2010 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup-winning squad and he also won the Player of the tournament award in that edition of the competition.
England were fantastic – Kevin Pietersen’s former teammate Ravi Bopara
“England were fantastic,” he said on commentary for BBC Test Match Special.
“They are setting the bar and the trend for T20 cricket. They come out and play their shots, not just in international cricket but in domestic cricket too.
“They are trying to get 60-70 off the first six overs, not just 45. It would be worrying for the Pakistan bowlers to see that England performance today but they will back themselves.”
