The Netherlands take on India in their second Super 12 game in Sydney on October 27. They lost their first against Bangladesh with their batters failing to chase down 145 to win. The side won two games in their qualifiers to get through to the Super 12s.

The tournament only gets tougher from here for the Dutch with them facing teams like India, Pakistan, South Africa and Zimbabwe in their remaining games. Their batters need to step up in their remaining matches with their bowlers doing the job in almost every game so far.

“Our bowlers were quite amazing, and they (Bangladesh) were around 10-15 runs short. But our run-outs (Max ODowd and Tom Cooper) were poor. Colin Ackermann and Paul van Meekeren helped us to get closer to the total. Hopefully, we can bring in a better performance with the bat, looking forward to the next challenge (against India)” said Edwards.

In this article, we look at the Netherlands predicted playing XI against India for match 23 of the tournament. If they lose this game their campaign will be well and truly over. Thus this is a must-win game for them in many ways.
