After the Indian side suffered a shocking loss to Bangladesh in the opening match in Dhaka, Sharma and his team will be fired up for a big comeback in the ODI series. India had reduced the hosts to 136/9 in the run-chase after defending a meager 187-run target; nevertheless, Mehidy Hasan’s valiant unbroken effort (38*) clinched a memorable one-wicket victory for Bangladesh.
Since all players save KL Rahul was ineffective in the first ODI, India will be counting on a solid showing from the batting order. India scored 186 runs in the game, mostly due to batting Rahul’s 73-run innings. With the ball, Mohammed Siraj shone, taking three wickets, and Washington Sundar and debutant Kuldeep Sen both contributed significantly with two wickets apiece.

When the ball landed in front of Rohit, he hurt himself while attempting to stop. While leaving the field, the Indian captain was seen clutching his hand in agony and letting blood escape. While his captain is seeking medical attention, Rajat Patidar has been brought in as a replacement.
The last time the two teams squared off in an ODI series, MS Dhoni’s Indian team fell short 1-2, winning just the final dead rubber. With all-rounder Shakib al Hasan in good form, Litton Kumar Das will lead Bangladesh in hopes of repeating that win.
