Indian Cricket Team once again stuttered in ICC Tournament as a billion people will have to wait for the 2nd T20 title. The Men in Blue were outdone by England in the Semi Final in all the 3 departments of the game. The team would be well aware of the fact that they haven’t won the ICC T20 World Cup since the inception of IPL.

The 1st T20I match between India and New Zealand was washed out due to the rain. Now with only 2 T20Is remaining it looks unlikely that the management will experiment. With Hardik Pandya as the skipper, we can expect an aggressive brand of Cricket.

Parthiv Patel on Indian Cricket Team

Parthiv Patel was having an interaction with Cricbuzz and was asked about India.

“I’ve always been saying, even before the World Cup, that India’s biggest challenge would be to find that right combination. There is no shortage of talented players, who can take anybody’s place at any point of time. They all have done really well in the IPL or at the international level, whenever they have got an opportunity,” said Parthiv Patel.

“India’s biggest challenge, even moving forward from now, would be the approach with which they want to play and the right combination, the right players at the right point of time. I thought India was well prepared before the WC, they tried everything and before a couple of months, they knew their playing XI or which 15 would be going into the WC,” he added.

Crucial T20I Series for India

The youngsters would be well aware of the fact that they won’t get such a golden opportunity to play against New Zealand often. As we all know that boundaries in New Zealand are relatively small as compared to Australia where Indian bowlers will have to be spot-on with their line and length.

Head Coach VVS Laxman will have to be spot-on with its selection. New Zealand would be aiming for revenge as last time in 2020 India had won the T20I Series by 5-0 which was quite a thumping victory.
