IND vs SA: India’s Predicted Playing XI Against South Africa– India’s Tour of South Africa 2021-22, 2nd ODI
KL Rahul (C)
KL Rahul is the skipper of the team in the absence of ODI skipper Rohit Sharma and will lead the side in IND vs SA 2nd ODI as well. The right-handed batsman failed to come up with a good score in the previous game, getting out for 12. However, he has been in a good form in recent times. The right-handed batsman will seek to make a comeback in the 2nd game.

Shikhar Dhawan
Shikhar Dhawan will be another opener for the team. The left-handed batsman did an outstanding job in IND vs SA 1st ODI. With his patient batting, he slammed 79 runs off 84 balls with 10 boundaries. Dhawan looks quite confident and will look to replicate his performance in the 2nd ODI as well.
Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli will bat at the no.3 spot in IND vs SA 2nd ODI. He did a good job in the previous game, smashing 51 runs. However, he became a victim of soft dismissal at a very crucial time. The right-handed batsman looks in good form and will aim to convert his knock into a big score in the next game.
Suryakumar Yadav
Suryakumar Yadav might be roped in in the middle-order to give some balance to the team. Yadav’s absence was largely felt in the last game when India lost three middle-order batsmen in quick succession. Hence, Venkatesh Iyer might be dropped and Yadav can replace him in the playing XI in the next game.

Rishabh Pant (WK)
Rishabh Pant will be the wicketkeeper for the team in IND vs SA 2nd ODI. Pant became a victim of a clever stumping by Quinton de Kock. His wicket emerged as a crucial loss for India during the game. Pant slammed a century during the Test series and he can be a valuable batsman for India. Pant will look to come up with a good knock in the upcoming ODI.
Shreyas Iyer
Shreyas Iyer could only score 16 runs before losing his wicket in the previous game. However, Iyer is a crucial member of India’s middle-order in limited-overs currently. He might again get an opportunity in the playing XI in the next game and this time, he will look to give the necessary contribution to the team.
Yuzvendra Chahal
Yuzvendra Chahal did not manage to pick any wicket in IND vs SA 1st ODI. The right-arm spinner gave 53 runs in his 10 overs spell. He looked in good touch and was the only bowler to not give any extra run. In the next game, Chahal will aim to get some scalps in his kitty as well.

Ravichandran Ashwin
Ravichandran Ashwin will be the all-rounder that India can pick in the next game. Ashwin managed to pick 1 wicket during his spell. He grabbed the crucial wicket of Quinton de Kock. He failed with the bat though, scoring 7 runs off 13 balls. In the next game, Ashwin will look to come up with a better spin attack.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be one of the pacers in the next game. Kumar failed to get any wicket in IND vs SA 1st ODI. The right-arm pacer bowled 10 overs and failed to get any wicket. He also emerged a little costly, conceding 64 runs in his 10 overs. However, in the absence of Mohammed Shami, Kumar is an experienced pacer for India. Now he will look to come up with a better performance in the next game.
Deepak Chahar
Deepak Chahar might be given a chance in playing XI instead of Shardul Thakur. The latter largely failed with his bowling in the previous game. In his 10 overs, Thakur gave away 72 runs and failed to get any wicket. He did smash a half-century but failed at his primary job of bowling. Hence, the team might pick Deepak Chahar to provide more depth in the pace department.

He hunted 2 wickets while conceding 48 runs in his 10 overs. Not only he picked most 2 wickets, but he also came up with the best economy of 4.80 in the match.
