Shubman Gill notched up his highest IPL score as he scored 84 against Delhi Capitals in match 10 of IPL 2022. Delhi skipper Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to bat first. Pandya on his behalf said that he was looking to bat first for a change and his wish was fulfilled.
Both Delhi and Gujarat won their first game heading into this contest. The Titans lost Matthew Wade early. The onus was on Shubman Gill to get them off to a good start after the right-hander was out for a duck in GT’s opener against Lucknow Supergiants.
Shubman Gill Scored 84 Off 46 Balls
Gill paced his innings beautifully after he was slow to get off the blocks. He scored 86 off 46 balls with six fours and four sixes. Gill added a 65-run stand with his skipper Hardik Pandya (31) who himself looked good to score a fifty but couldn’t.
There was a lot of frustration when Gill was finally dismissed by Khaleel Ahmed down the mid-on boundary line. Axar Patel kept a cool head and completed the catch much to the happiness of the Delhi players and fans. The right-hander looked set to get his maiden IPL ton but it was not to be in the end. Gill walked back disappointed and gutted about himself.

Earlier in the game, Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant won the toss and opted to bowl first. There was a confusion with the call that he made but that was sorted in the end.
