GT vs RR: Yuzvendra Chahal Is The Jos Buttler Of Bowling Department - Harbhajan Singh Praises RR Leg-Spinner For Impressive Performance

Harbhajan Singh, a former Indian cricketer, has applauded Rajasthan Royals (RR) leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal for his exceptional bowling showings in the IPL 2022.

Harbhajan described Chahal as the Jos Buttler of the bowling unit, pointing out that he has produced a lot of match-winning appearances for the franchise this season.

The leg-spinner will be one of the players at the moment when Rajasthan faces the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the IPL 2022 final on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad (May 29). Harbhajan Singh lauded Chahal ahead of the summit battle, telling Sportskeeda:

“Yuzvendra Chahal is the bowling department’s, Jos Buttler. His bowling abilities have won him matches. He seems to be the only slow-leg  spinner in the IPL who bowls like a spin bowler, in my viewpoint.”

“He bowls steadily in the air, spinning the ball and appealing to the batsmen to come out of the crease and chase him down. Other spinners bowl quickly and are called spinners for a reason. Spinners are in charge of spinning the ball. You’ll find wickets there” Harbhajan Singh said.

‘Prasidh Krishna has indeed been phenomenal for RR’: Harbhajan Singh

Apart from Chahal, Harbhajan has been blown away by pacer Prasidh Krishna’s playing ability in the IPL 2022.
Harbhajan Singh described the 26-year-old as a hard – working and dedicated cricketer, saying:

“Prasidh Krishna has indeed been phenomenal for RR. I noticed him closely while playing with him at KKR last season. Any national squad would want to see a pacer pacers like him on their lineup.”

“He is tall, has a good bounce, and has a good seam placement. He is also quick and diligent. It’s fantastic to see how Rajasthan has handled him. (Kumar) Sangakkara and his team deserve a lot of credit for having looked after all of the players.”

RR and GT will face off in the long-awaited IPL 2022 final on Sunday, May 29. At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the competition is set to begin at 8:00 PM IST.
