Former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has opined that the West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph will fetch a big deal at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction.

The 25-year-old right-arm pace bowler has delivered a good performance for West Indies in the first two games of the three-match One Day International series against India at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.

In the first match, where India won by 6 wickets, Alzarri Joseph dismissed two of the best batsman of the generation – Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli – in the same over. He dismissed Rohit Sharma in the first ball and Virat Kohli in the 5th ball of the 14th over.

In the second One Day International game against India, he dismissed Shardul Thakur and Mohammed Siraj and ended up giving just 36 runs in 10 overs quota.

After looking at right-arm seamer Joseph’s good performance former Indian off-spinner Harbhajan took to Twitter to state:

Meanwhile, the West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph has placed himself in the Rs 75 Lakh bracket and he will go under the auction hammer in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13.

Also, 590 players have been shortlisted for the Indian Premier League 2022 mega auction. 228 are capped, 355 are uncapped and 7 belong to Associate Nations. Amongst the 590 players, 370 are Indian players and the remaining 220 are overseas players. Amongst overseas players, 34 players are from West Indies.

Overall, 48 players have placed themselves in the INR 2 crore bracket, 20 players are in INR 1.5 crore bracket and 34 players are in INR 1 crore bracket.
