Sunil Narine

In both of KKR’s title-winning seasons, Sunil Narine took the most wickets for the season. He has been an integral part of KKR’s success in the past and will continue to do so. The mystery-spinner was one of the four players who was retained by the franchise. He took 13 wickets in the UAE leg of IPL 2021 after having a pretty ordinary first half of the IPL. He did not have good season with the ball in IPL 2019 and 2020 taking just 15 wickets in the two seasons. However, he regained his form last season and he heads into the season with some form as well playing in the CPL and BPL.

Varun Chakravarthy

The Indian spinner is the second bowler in the team who can win the purple Cap. The spin duo of Varun and Narine are the biggest strength of KKR’s attack since the two have started playing together. The leggie has picked up 35 wickets for Kolkata Knight Riders in the last two seasons and gives them a big hope this year as well. He is not entering the season with a lot of cricket on his back which will be a cause of concern for the franchise.
Pat Cummins

KKR shelled out 7.25 crores to buy him back at the IPL 2022 mega auction. They previously paid 15.5 crores to buy him ahead of IPL 2020. Despite the money, Cummins has not performed consistently for KKR. This will be a big year for the Australian pacer and a big Test for him as well. He will lead the KKR pace attack and will play ahead of Tim Southee. Cummins has to be amongst the wickets for KKR which makes him one of the three bowlers in the side who can win the Purple Cap.
