IPL 2022: 3 Players From Rajasthan Royals (RR) Who Can Win Purple Cap

Rajasthan Royals are placed in group B along with Mumbai Indians, KKR, DC and Lucknow Supergiants. The Royals kick off their IPL 2022 campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 29 at the MCA Stadium in Pune. It is the fifth game of the season and the first game for both teams.

The IPL 2022 starts on March 26 with CSK playing against KKR in the first game of the season. The BCCI will be allowing fans to enter into the stadium for the season. The season will have 74 matches spread across four venues in Maharashtra. as said earlier, Wankhede and DY Patil Stadium will host 20 matches each while the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai and MCA Stadium in Pune will play hosts to 15 games each.

The Royals won the bidding war against Mumbai Indians for Trent Boult bagging him for 8 crores. He will lead the bowling attack for the Royals who will expect him to deliver. Boult has taken 43 wickets for Mumbai in the last three years. He will certainly be in the race to win the Purple Cap.

Ravichandran Ashwin

Ashwin is the next RR bowler who can win the Purple Cap. He is a seasoned campaigner in the IPL having played for CSK, RPS and DC and Punjab Kings in the past. His best in the IPL has come for CSK for whim he has taken 90 wickets. He took 20 wickets for Delhi and 25 wickets for Punjab. Ashwin is eager to start a new journey with the Royals.

Yuzvendra Chahal

Chahal will pair up with Ashwin from the other end. Together they can pose a threat to the opposition batsmen. Chahal is one of the most successful T20 bowlers in world cricket today. While playing for RCB, he took 139 wickets in seven seasons. Chahal too like Ashwin is looking forward to a new journey with the Royals.
