Mitchell Starc recently said that he is considering putting down his name for IPL 2022. The Australian pacer last played in the tournament in IPL 2015 edition, when he represented Royal Challengers Bangalore. Hence, the left-arm pacer has been out of the tournament for the last 6 seasons.

In IPL 2018, he was picked by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs. 9.40 crore, but did not play due to an injury. Playing just two IPL seasons in 2014 and 2015, Mitchell Starc has an impressive bowling record in the tournament. He scalped 14 wickets in IPL 2014 and 20 in the 2015 season.

A pacer like Starc, who has shown spectacular form recently in Ashes 2021-22 and ICC T20 World Cup 2021, will add a lot of strength to the team.

4. Kolkata Knight Riders

Kolkata Knight Riders is the second team that will be interested to buy Mitchell Starc in their squad during IPL 2022 auction. KKR released Pat Cummins and Lockie Ferguson from their squad ahead of the next season.
