IPL 2022 auction will take place in February this year and all the 10 teams are getting prepared for the mega event to pick their favourite choice of players. A total of 10 teams will take part in the auction ahead of IPL 2022. Lucknow and Ahmedabad are two new teams that will be part of the next IPL season.

Before the mega auction, the old 8 franchise have retained a total of 27 players, out of which there are 19 domestic players and 8 foreign players. There are also 4 uncapped players part of retentions.

5. Glenn Maxwell- 5.0

Glenn Maxwell gets the 5th spot on this list. Glenn Maxwell is an all-rounder who bowls off-spin. In IPL 2021, he picked 3 wickets in 6 innings at an average of 45.0. The right-arm spinner had an economy of 8.43.

Since he is not a very effective off-spinner, he gets a rating of 5.0 out of 10. The Aussie star gave a fabulous batting performance last season, due to which he cracked a deal of Rs. 11 crore with RCB for IPL 2022.

4. Moeen Ali- 6.0

Moeen Ali is a left-arm orthodox spinner, hence, he bowls off-spin. He was part of Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021- the team that won the tournament. The England player gave good support to the team in bowling, picking 6 wickets in 10 innings at an average of 26.83.

Ali bowled at an impressive economy rate of just 6.35, and hence gets a rating of 6 out of 10 on this list. Moeen Ali has cracked a deal of Rs. 6 crore by CSK for the 2022 season.

3. Ravindra Jadeja- 7.5

Ravindra Jadeja gets a rating of 7.5 on this list. Ravindra Jadeja is an all-rounder, who bowls off-spin. The left-arm spinner gave a commendable show in IPL 2021, scalping 13 wickets in 16 games at an average of 26.61. He also owned a decent economy of 7.06. Due to the impressive all-round show, CSK gave him the highest salary package of Rs. 16 crore for IPL 2022.

2. Sunil Narine- 8.0

Sunil Narine gets a rating of 8.0 in this list. Narine is one of the top spinners in IPL. Playing for Kolkata Knight Riders, the West Indies player picked 16 wickets in 14 games at an amazing average of 22.56. The right-arm spinner executed strict bowling, giving an economy rate of just 6.44. KKR retained the bowling all-rounder for Rs. 6 crore for IPL 2022.

Axar Patel tops this list with a rating of 8.5. Patel is part of the Delhi Capitals. Last season, he hunted 15 wickets for the team at an average of 20.40. The left-arm off-spinner also had an impressive economy rate, bowling at 6.65 per over. Due to his excellent show, the franchise offered him Rs. 9 crore to be part of the team in the next season.
