IPL 2022 is all set to observe a mega auction ahead of the tournament. A total of 10 teams will be part of the IPL 2022 auction with two new teams Lucknow and Ahmedabad. So far, the old 8 franchises have retained a total of 27 players in their squad for the next season.

5. Axar Patel- 7.0
Axar Patel takes the 5th spot in this list with a rating of 7.0. He was part of Delhi Capitals in IPL 2021 and has been retained by the franchise for the next season. Delhi Capitals have offered Patel Rs. 9 crore to stay in the team. In IPL 2021, he picked 15 wickets in 12 games at an average of 20.40. He also bowled at a good economy of just 6.65. With the bat, he scored 40 runs in 6 innings.

4. Glenn Maxwell- 7.5
Glenn Maxwell gets a rating of 7.5 out of 10. Maxwell has been retained by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs. 11 crore. Giving an impeccable performance in IPL 2021, he scored 513 runs in 14 innings at an average of 42.75 and strike rate of 144+. He also slammed 6 half-centuries in the tournament and ended as RCB’s top run-getter. While bowling, he picked 3 wickets.
3. Sunil Narine- 8.0
Sunil Narine gets a rating of 8.5 as a spin all-rounder. He was part of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2021 and was retained by the franchise for Rs. 6 crore for IPL 2022. The right-arm spinner hunted 16 wickets in 14 games last season, bowling at an impressive average of 22.56 and economy of 6.44. With the bat, the left-handed batsman scored 62 runs in 10 innings, batting at a strike rate of 131+.
2. Moeen Ali- 8.5
Moeen Ali was part of Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021. The English player was retained for IPL 2022 for a contract of Rs. 8 crore. Ali, who was picked during last year’s auction, did a commendable job for the team as an all-rounder last season.
In 15 games, he scored 357 runs at an average of 25.50 and 1 half-century. His hard-hitting batting style helped him to get valuable runs for the team at the middle-order. With the ball, the left-arm spinner scalped 6 wickets, bowling at a good economy rate of just 6.35. Ali gets a rating of 7.5.

1. Ravindra Jadeja- 9.5
Ravindra Jadeja steals the top spot in this list with a rating of 9.5. The all-rounder was part of Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021. With the best batting average of 75.66 in the tournament, he scored 227 runs in 12 innings. Jadeja also batted at a brilliant strike rate of 145+, smashing quickfire knocks all the time. With the ball, he picked 13 wickets in 16 games at an average of 26.61 and an economy of 7.06.
