Delhi Capitals on Saturday revealed their jersey for IPL 2022. The team shared a post on Instagram where they revealed their jersey for the tournament. Delhi Capitals will be led by Rishabh Pant in IPL 2022

Delhi Capitals will play their opening game of IPL 2022 against Mumbai Indians on May 27 at Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. During the IPL 2022 auction, DC bought a total of 20 players in their squad. Now, they have a total of 24 players in their squad.

Ahead of IPL 2021 auction, DC retained 4 players in their squad. Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel, Prithvi Shaw, and Anrich Nortje were the 4 players that the team retained in their squad. They retained Rishabh Pant for Rs. 16 crores, Axar Patel for Rs. 9 crores, Prithvi Shaw for Rs. 7.5 crores, and Anrich Nortje for Rs. 6.5 crores.

During IPL 2022 auction, Shardul Thakur was DC’s most expensive pick. The team bought him for Rs. 10.75 crores during the auction. Kuldeep Yadav, KS Bharat, Khaleel Ahmed, Lalit Yadav, and Chetan Sakariya were some key Indian players that DC bought during the auction.

In the overseas category, David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, Mustafizur Rahman, Lungi Ngidi, Rovman Powell, and Tim Seifert were some key players that the team bought during the auction.

Last season in IPL 2021, Delhi Capitals gave an outstanding performance. After the league stage, Delhi finished on the top spot in the points table with 20 points. Out of 14 matches, they managed to win 10 games and lost just 4.

However, during the playoffs, DC lost to Chennai Super Kings in Qualifier 1 game and then lost to Kolkata Knight Riders in Qualifier 2 match. Hence, they finished on the 3rd spot in the league.
