Sanju Samson recalls being criticized by spectators on the road when he was a child, and either one of his parents used it to take him to the bus stops with the big kitbag.

Samson has played in one ODI and 13 T20Is for India. He has been praised as one of the most quality players in the IPL, where he has produced over 130 matches, aside from his triumphs with the Indian squad.

In a cricket-crazed country like ours, where the sport is revered, breaking through to the top becomes increasingly tough. Almost everyone who has played cricket for India has faced difficulties at some point in their career.

Sanju Samson, the captain of the Rajasthan Royals, is one such talent who not only had to go through the arduous process of daily practice but also had to relocate to achieve his dream.

In the newest episode of Breakfast with Champions, the 27-year-old, who has kept his cool during the current Indian Premier League, spoke about his path.

When Sanju was five or six years old, he and his older brother began training in Delhi. But, when luck was not on their side, his father, who was a member of the Delhi Police football team, took a risk and then sent them to Kerala.

“Cricket is played nearly everywhere in Delhi, so there’s too much competitiveness.” So we tried out a few occasions but it didn’t work out, so my father explained that we are from Kerala and that we would play from there.”

“We abruptly dropped out of school and relocated to Kerala in less than a month. “Let them pass 10th grade,” my mother countered, “who would admit them in Kerala?” My father, on the other hand, was adamant about his decision,” Sanju explained.

He also remembered being mocked by haters on the road when he was a youngster, and how neither of his parents would take him to the bus stops with the big kitbag.

“When we played in Delhi, my mother and father would carry our hefty kitbags to the bus stop.” “People used to call us ‘oye Sachin Aur uske papa mummy ja rahe hai, Bhai yeh Banega Tendulkar’ from behind,” he added.

“As a result, my parents have been through a lot of similar situations.”

On Monday, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven wickets at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai in Match 47 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season.
