The IPL 2022 excitement has all started already with the two new teams being recently announced and the terms of retention have also been revealed ahead of the next auction. Lucknow and Ahmedabad have been announced as the two new teams that will be joining the other eight teams for the next IPL edition.

Also, the eight teams will be allowed to retain four players while the two new teams will be retaining three players ahead of the mega auction. There were a lot of youngsters who did really well in the IPL 2021 and it is time to look at 10 uncapped Indian players who might cause a bidding war if they go into the mega auction.

A U-19 sensation and one of the most promising cricketers, Yashasvi Jaiswal finally got his season going in IPL after making a big impact for the Rajasthan Royals. The left-handed opener was consistent in the UAE phase of IPL 2021 and he finished with 249 runs in 10 games this season.

The franchises will be looking out for openers and definitely, they will look into the youngster who has got immense potential. He showed his credentials in the limited-overs format and he might cause a bidding war among the franchises.

Venkatesh Iyer was one of the finds of the tournament this year as he proved to be a big difference for the Kolkata Knight Riders side in the UAE phase of IPL 2021. Iyer finished with 370 runs in 10 games this season and he almost won the finals for the season as well.

Iyer can also contribute medium pace and he proved to be effective as a sixth bowling option. His impressive performances earned him a place in the Indian nets session for the T20 World Cup 2021 and he will be an impact player for any franchise he goes into. He will be one of the most demanded players in IPL 2021.

Rahul Tripathi played a very key part in the success of the Kolkata Knight Riders this season and his consistency levels were something extraordinary. He was given a role at number three and he anchored the innings from the front as well.

Tripathi finished with 397 runs in 17 games and his crucial six was the turning point for KKR in reaching the finals in qualifier 2. He is a brilliant fielder and the franchises will be looking at his potential in the mega auction.

Shahrukh Khan made his IPL debut this season and he was bought for some heavy price in the auction by the Punjab Kings. He played the first phase of IPL 2021 continuously and was dropped at the start of the UAE phase of IPL 2021.

He made a brilliant comeback into the side playing a finishing knock and he has already shown his finishing abilities in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy as well. Teams will be looking out for big hitters and he will be among the names discussed among the franchises.

Rahul Tewatia had a big IPL season last year for the Rajasthan Royals and he won games for the side from losing positions. His impressive stint in IPL 2020 had earned him a place in the Indian side as well but couldn’t go on to make his debut yet.

He did not have the same impact this year as he failed to make a big mark with both bat and ball as he could manage just 155 runs in 14 games this season. However, being a leg spinner and a tonker down the order, he definitely will up in the auction and can create a bidding war among the franchises.

Harshal Patel finished as the player of the tournament in the IPL 2021 and he was phenomenal in the 2021 season for the Royal Challengers Bangalore side. His impressive show earned him a place as a net bowler for the Indian side in the T20 World cup 2021.

Harshal finished with 32 wickets in the season in 15 games and he also bagged a hattrick this season. He seemed to be the go-to bowler for the captain and his slower ones were very effective. He will certainly cause a bidding war in the auction.

Ravi Bishnoi was another U-19 sensation who is knocking on the doors of the Indian selectors with consecutive impressive seasons for the Punjab Kings. He finished with 12 wickets this season and he did not play a few games as the management wanted him to work on a few things.

His economy rate was very low throughout the season and he bagged wickets at regular intervals for the Punjab Kings side. He bowls a lot more googly than the leg spinners and his wicket-taking skills will definitely earn him huge bucks in the upcoming auction.

Avesh Khan finished as the second-highest wicket-taker in the IPL 2021 season and he seemed to be the weapon for the Delhi Capitals with his yorkers and new ball abilities. He picked up 24 wickets in the season but seemed to be tapering off at the end of the league stages.

He is currently with the Indian team as a net bowler for the T20 World cup 2021 and he will soon make his debut for India in all the formats. He bowls a heavy ball and is a consistent wicket-taking option for any side. He will cause a bidding war in the auction if he isn’t retained.

Kartik Tyagi was brilliant in the U-19 World cup for India and he is one of the upcoming talents in the country with an excellent future ahead. He has got all the skills in the book from swinging the new ball to hitting the yorkers in the death.

Tyagi finished with just 4 wickets and did not play many games due to injury concerns. However, he defended just 4 runs in an over for the Rajasthan Royals and won the game from a difficult position. He will be a hot pick in the mega auction for sure.

Umran Malik:

Umran Malik bowled the fastest delivery of the IPL 2021 with a 153 kmph delivery and it was fascinating to watch the Jammu and Kashmir fast bowler cranking up some good speeds. He came in as a replacement for the Covid-hit T Natrajan and played just the two games.

Umran Malik was spotted first by Irfan Pathan and he has been included in the net bowlers for the Indian side in the T20 World cup 2021. He can certainly cause a bidding war in the upcoming auction despite his inexperience in IPL.
