IPL 2022 retentions list was announced by all 8 teams on Tuesday (November 30). Two new franchises are going to be added in the next year’s season. Ruturaj Gaikwad was retained by Chennai Super Kings for Rs. 6 crores. He was picked as the 4th player in the retention. Gaikwad gave an astonishing batting show in IPL 2021. Smashing 635 runs in 19 games at an average of 45.35, he ended as the highest run-getter in the tournament.
The right-handed batsman also slammed 4 half-centuries and 1 unbeaten century. If Gaikwad went into the auction, he could have attracted more than Rs. 6 crores as he is just 24-year-old and a superb future investment for any team.
