4) Umran Malik – 21 Wickets From 13 Matches

Malik was one of the three players retained by SRH last season. In his first full season, he repaid the faith of the franchise by taking 21 wickets. He bounced out a number of top-class batsmen with his sheer pace.
There are already talks of him being fast-tracked into the Indian side for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. A few former cricketers have said that his pace is a real treasure and should be handled with care and precision.
3) Kagiso Rabada – 22 Wickets From 12 Matches

In another disappointing campaign for Punjab Kings, Kagiso Rabada ended up with 22 wickets. He was by far the best bowler for them given that he bowled in every phase of the game and picked wickets. He won the Purple Cap in IPL 2020 and since then has taken 67 wickets.
2) Wanindu Hasaranga – 24 Wickets From 14 Matches

IPL 2022 was Hasaranga’s first full season for the Royal Challengers Bangalore who rebought him in the mega auction for 10 crores. His wickets include one four-for and one five-for. The race for the top is still on between him and Yuzvendra Chahal who tops the list at the moment with 25 wickets.
1) Yuzvendra Chahal – 25 Wickets From 14 Matches

Chahal is currently topping the Purple Cap list with 25 wickets at the moment which includes a hat-trick against KKR. Both he and Kuldeep are on this list which speaks volumes about the kind of bowling the discarded spinners have done. Their performances bring them back into the contention for a recall into the Indian team.
