A poor outing in IPL 2021 with the bat didn’t help David Warner to retain his place in the Sunrisers Hyderabad team for the next edition. Despite all his contributions to the franchise over the years, SRH opted not to retain the Aussie opener for the next edition of the Indian Premier League.

Warner will be going under the hammer and a lot of franchises would be interested in acquiring his services. David Warner roared back into form in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. He wreaked havoc in the tournament, scoring 289 runs in 7 matches at 48.17. Warner is currently one of the most destructive openers in world cricket and is bound to cause a bidding war at the auctions.

  1. Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins made headlines after KKR spent a huge amount of INR 15.5 crores to acquire his services in IPL 2020. The Australian seamer dished out impressive performances with the ball for the next two seasons and made handy contributions with the bat as well.

However, the franchise opted to let him go ahead of the IPL 2022. Pat Cummins is easily one of the best fast bowlers in the world going around. He has the ability to bowl in power play overs, middle overs, and in death overs. Besides, he can take up the leadership role if need be. Pat Cummins, once again, is likely to fetch a big contract at the mega auctions.

  1. Josh Hazlewood

Josh Hazlewood plied his trade for Chennai Super Kings in the 2021 edition of IPL. The Australian seamer bowled exceedingly well and lived up to his billing. Hazlewood was brilliant with his line and lengths in the power play. He extracts extra bounce from the surface and gives little room to work with. His accuracy and good pace make him a great bowler to have in T20 cricket.

He took 11 wickets in 9 matches for CSK last year at an economy of under 8. CSK, unfortunately, had to release him ahead of the next edition of the tournament. However, they will try to do their best to get him back into the team. Hazlewood is likely to cause a bidding war at the auctions.

Mitchell Marsh has been in the form of his life. He enjoyed an outstanding 2021 year with the bat, as far as T20 cricket is concerned. Marsh has piled on a plethora of runs in the shortest format in 2021. His match-winning knock of 77 runs in 50 balls against New Zealand in the final will be remembered for the years to come. Marsh replicated that for in BBL 2021-22.

In 8 matches, he managed to score 347 runs at an average strike rate of 57.83 and 142.79 respectively. Marsh’s multi-skill-sets make him an indispensable asset in T20 cricket. He will be in huge demand in the mega auctions and should cause a bidding war.

  1. Adam Zampa

The Australian leg-spinner was the silent hero for Australia in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. He didn’t endure a single bad outing for Australia in the entire tournament. He finished the tournament as the second-highest wicket-taker, picking 13 wickets at an average of 12.08. Zampa is an experienced customer in the shortest format and is a match-winner in his own right. Zampa’s skillsets would help attract a lot of buyers in the auctions and it will be interesting to see which franchise ends up picking him.
