The IPL 2022 mega auction will be held in Bengaluru on 12 and 13 February. The BCCI has shortlisted a total of 590 from an initial list of 1214 players for the upcoming auction. Indian international and domestic players will be the main attraction of the auction as all the franchises will look to get the best of players.
Royal Challengers Bangalore head into the IPL 2022 mega auction with a remaining purse of 57 crores in which they need to fill 22 slots. Among them, seven are for overseas slots. Karnataka made it to the finals of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as they lost the final to Tamil Nadu.

Prasidh Krishna
The Indian pacer took four wickets in the second ODI against West Indies. he gave this performance under the watchful eyes of Virat Kohli. The RCB franchise can look to rope in the Indian pacer and invest in him in the long run. Several former Indian cricketers and experts are advocating his name in the Indian squad in Test matches.
His extra bounce is his most critical asset as a pacer which was evident in the second ODI. He can hurry the batsmen up and he can be a good addition to the franchise that did not have reputed Indian pacers in the IPL over the years.

Manish Pandey
Pandey is amongst the most experienced Indian domestic players in the circuit. He led the side to the finals of the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. The Indian batsman was given consistent chances throughout 2020 and 2021 but failed to make the most of it.
The right-hander can be a good addition to the middle-order along with Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell and Virat Kohli now that AB De Villiers is no longer a part of the IPL. He also has plenty of experience of playing in the IPL for various teams.
Devdutt Padikkal
The southpaw was released by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auctions, However, they can buy him back and invest in him in the long run. He can take the team forward and can potentially lead the team in the near future. 400-plus runs in back to back seasons proves that he has the pedigree to succeed at the international level.
He also made his T20I debut for India courtesy of his IPL success in the last two years. Someone who has a good head on his shoulders, Padikkal should be on the radar of Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Karun Nair
His best IPL performance in the IPL came for the Rajasthan Royals, but he is another player who can bat at different positions in the lineup. He can open the batting as well as bat down the order. His flexibility as a batsman can make him an asset for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
Shreyas Gopal
Gopal has played a few seasons in the IPL and has managed to attract attention. He can be an ideal replacement for Yuzvendra Chahal who was released by the franchise ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction.
Chahal has dismissed Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers in the IPL and thus the former India and RCB skipper can play his part in roping in the talented leg spinner. He is yet to play for India and a good season with Royal Challengers Bangalore can take him closer to his maiden India cap.
