IPL Prize Money: Here's How Much Royal Challengers Bangalore And Lucknow Super Giants Earned For Finishing At The 3rd And 4th Spot

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) were the two teams eliminated after the conclusion of the playoffs bowing out in 3rd and 4th place respectively.

The two teams qualified for the knockout stage in 3rd and 4th place and they went up against each other in the Eliminator. RCB defeated LSG by 14 runs to move on to Qualifier 2 against Rajasthan Royals (RR).

RR then proceeded to dominate RCB in the game and sent Faf du Plessis and co. home in 3rd place while they themselves booked a rematch against Gujarat Titans (GT) in the grand final on Sunday.

Total prize money for Royal Challengers Bangalore And Lucknow Supergiants

Following their exit, each franchise earned huge amounts of prize money with RCB taking home INR 7 crore while LSG pocketed INR 6.5 crore for finishing in the 4th spot.

It was RCB’s 15th attempt at winning their maiden IPL title but their wait continues. As for LSG, they are one of the two new teams added to the league and they will be happy with their performance in their debut season.

As for the prize money for the grand final, the title-winners will secure INR 20 crores while the runner-up gets their hands on INR 13 crores.

RR and GT have the opportunity to lay claim to the big pool of money. RR is in its second-ever final having won the maiden edition while GT is in its debut season.
