LSG vs GT: Wriddhiman Saha Is Papering Over The Cracks - Aakash Chopra Points Out Shaky Batting Lineup Of Gujarat

Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra has asserted that Gujarat Titans (GT) may be in the top two on the IPL 2022 points table but their weakness in the batting order is quite evident at the moment.
Initially, Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya were in excellent form but they are going through a slump all of a sudden. Fortunately enough, Wriddhiman Saha has raised his hand and performed well to plug the hole for now, as per Chopra.
“Gujarat have bowled well. But it is their batting that has problems. Whenever Gill scores runs, their batting looks good. But now it’s Saha who is papering over the cracks in their batting.”

“Hardik’s [Pandya] form has had a dip of late. If he hadn’t been run out in the last game, they would have and should have won it. Miller and Tewatia won’t be able to rescue you every time,” Chopra mentioned in a video on his YouTube channel.
“Bowlers will dominate LSG vs GT” – Aakash Chopra
Chopra has also shed light on the excellent bowling attacks of both Gujarat and Lucknow, claiming that the team that will bat first is very likely to win the game. Both teams have played 11 games and won 8 matches and the winner could well be guaranteed a spot in the top two.

“Bowlers will dominate this game as both teams have fantastic bowling attacks. At one end there is [Mohammed] Shami, [Lockie] Ferguson, [Alzarri] Joseph, [Pradeep] Sangwan, and Rashid [Khan].
“At the other end, there is Mohsin [Khan], Avesh [Khan], [Dushmantha] Chameera, [Jason] Holder, [Ravi] Bishnoi, [Marcus] Stoinis, and Krunal [Pandya]. The team that will bat first is likely to win the game as both bowling attacks won’t let the batters chase down the target easily,” Chopra observed.
The previous time these two new teams met was their first match and Gujarat had the better of their fellow newcomers. KL Rahul and co. will be hoping to turn things around in the second leg.
