LSG vs MI: Revealed - Why Avesh Khan Is Not Included In Lucknow Super Giants' Playing XI Today vs MI
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will be without their pace bowler, Avesh Khan, ahead of their crucial clash against the bottom-placed Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday.
LSG sits in 5th place with 4 wins in 7 games and a win tonight will take them into the 4th place. However, they were struck a huge blow ahead of the game as Avesh will not be part of the match due to a niggle. Skipper KL Rahul confirmed at the toss that Mohsin Khan will be replacing Avesh in the side.
“Avesh Khan misses out due to a niggle and Mohsin Khan replaces him. We got a couple of wickets in the first over in the last game but still gave away 50 runs in the powerplay. So it’s just those small things that we need to correct.”
“The last few games that we watched and the last few games that we played, there hasn’t been a lot of dew. The toss doesn’t play a part if there’s no dew. We just need to be smarter with our plans. We haven’t lost by big margins, it has just been small things. Hopefully, we can come out here and do better,” Rahul mentioned.
As for Mumbai, they decided to stick to the same team. MI is yet to open its account in the league and is virtually out of a place in the playoff spot unless there is a miracle.
