Rajasthan Royals vs Gujarat Titans, GT Playing 11 vs RR (Predicted), IPL 2022, Match 24, RR vs GT. Rajasthan Royals will play against Gujarat Titans in Match 24, Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai, Apr 14, 2022. The match begins at 19:30 IST (14:00 GMT).

MI vs PBKS Dream11 Prediction

Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals will come face to face in a potentially explosive IPL 2022 match on Thursday (April 14). These teams will have clear intentions coming into the match too. The Gujarat Titans tasted their first defeat of the IPL 2022 at the hands of SunRisers Hyderabad and they are stuck at 6 points.

In theory, Royal Challengers Bangalore (6 points) can go ahead of them and Punjab Kings (4 points) can catch up with Gujarat Titans if those two teams won their next matches. Gujarat Titans under Hardik Pandya would like to avoid that situation and a win over Rajasthan Royals can give them that cushion back.

Talking about the Gujarat Titans team, there are also no injury concerns on the side and they aren’t expected to make changes. Young Sai Sudarshan scored only 11 runs but is expected to retain his place in the team, which means Vijay Shankar will keep warming the bench.

Abhinav Manohar also played a brutal knock against SRH and hence is also expected to retain his spot. The Hardik Pandya-led side is not likely to make any changes to their combination. They seem to have found their balance and are likely to retain the young players in the playing XI.

Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill who has played 10 Tests and 3 ODI matches for India, will be eager to leave his mark in IPL 2022, as a good outing in the IPL can open doors for the Indian team as well. He was a regular starter for Kolkata Knight Riders since IPL 2018 and his role with Gujarat Titans will be to provide a good start to the team.

Shubman Gill remains one of the most promising openers in the league. He is the leading run-scorer for his team so far and is placed behind Jos Buttler and Quinton de Kock in the Orange Cap-most runs in IPL 2022 race. He has scored 187 runs in only 4 IPL 2022 games averaging 46.75.

Matthew Wade

After the last-minute withdrawal of England opener Jason Roy, GT is using the explosive southpaw from Australia Matthew Wade as the opening partner along with Shubman Gill. Matthew Wade hasn’t fired yet and has scored only 56 runs playing all 4 games averaging only 14.

If Matthew Wade continues to not make an impact, it will open the door for the young Afghanistan wicket-keeper batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz to play in the XI as an opener. Wriddhiman Saha may also be considered.

After impressing in TNPL 2021 with his strokeplay, Sai Sudharsan was fast-tracked into Tamil Nadu’s white-ball and Ranji Trophy sides.

David Miller

David Miller was bought by Rajasthan Royals ahead of IPL 2020. Despite playing just one game in the IPL 2020, the franchise retained him for the IPL 2021, keeping in mind his ability to single-handedly change the course of the match. In IPL 2022, he scored 68 runs with the highest of 30 averaging 34 playing for Gujarat Titans.

Abhinav Manohar Sadarangani

He made his List A debut the same year, also for Karnataka, in the preliminary quarter-finals of the 2021–22 Vijay Hazare Trophy.  He fits into the middle-order batter role and is known to have a reputation for the big hits. He has managed only 51 runs from 3 innings out of 4 games and may be replaced by Gurkeerat Singh Mann.

Also, he didn’t bowl a single over in the last two seasons of IPL for Mumbai Indians. He has scored 141 runs averaging 47 and taken 3 scalps playing all 4 games in IPL 2022. As a first-time skipper, he was spot on with his tactics and field placements as Gujarat Titans won 3 games out of 4.

Rahul Tewatia made his IPL debut in 2014, and since then has featured in a total of 48 matches, and registered 521 runs. He has also scored a solitary half-century during his entire IPL career. Also, he has taken 32 wickets in the league.

Rahul Tewatia, who shot to IPL fame with a magical 31-ball 53 in a historic chase against Punjab in IPL 2020, has been sold for more than 20 times his base price of Rs 40 lakh at the mega IPL 2022 auction in Bengaluru. He has scored 73 runs so far averaging 36.5 including a 40-run unbeaten knock. He had hit two sixes in the last two balls of the last 20th over when Gujarat needed 12 to win against Punjab.

Rashid Khan, who picked up 18 wickets in 14 matches in the last edition, has consistently turned heads with his bowling exploits in the IPL. Maintaining a good economy of 6.69, he was the seventh-best bowler in the Purple Cap standings last season.

Overall, Rashid Khan has scalped 95 wickets in 78 matches for SRH at an economy of 6.35 and an average of 20.73. The Gujarat Titans had to shell ₹15 crores to acquire the services of Rashid Khan in the pre-draft after he parted ways with Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has picked up 6 scalps in 4 games averaging 17.83 at an economy rate of 6.68.

Mohammed Shami

Mohammed Shami garnered a lot of attention at the IPL 2022 mega auction before eventually going to Gujarat Titans (GT) for a winning bid of INR 6.25 crores. Many experts still do not consider Mohammed Shami as a specialist bowler in the shortest T20I format, and his economy rate of 9.54 in T20Is explains the logic behind the dislike.

The veteran pacer has picked 6 scalps so far in 4 games in IPL 2022 averaging only 20.5 including 3/25 against fellow debutants Lucknow.

Lockie Ferguson

The 30-year-old Kiwi pace merchant Lockie Ferguson was one of the richest buys in the 2022 player mega auction that took place in Bengaluru. The Gujarat Titans splashed out Rs 10 crore to acquire the services of Lockie Ferguson, who took 13 wickets in eight matches for Kolkata Knight Riders last season.

He picked 4/28 against Delhi Capitals in a match-winning effort in their last match. He has picked 5 scalps in 4 IPL 2022 games averaging only 26.2.

While playing in just 22 T20 matches, Darshan Nalkande has scalped a total of 43 wickets at a brilliant economy of less than 8 along with career-best figures of 5 for 9. The right-hander can also contribute well with the bat as seen in the domestic circuit so far.
