RR vs DC: Watch - David Warner Survives As Ball Brushes Stumps But Bails Don't Dislodge
Delhi Capitals (DC) opener David Warner rode his luck while batting against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Wednesday as he survived three close calls in a single over.
Chasing down 161 on a tricky wicket at the DY Patil Stadium, Delhi lost Srikar Bharat on the second delivery of the innings. After surviving the initial period from RR pacers where they were dominating, Mitchell Marsh and Warner began rebuilding.
The duo brought up their 50-run partnership in the 7th over before Warner’s incident took place. Yuzvendra Chahal was brought in to bowl his first over and Warner immediately targeted the leggie.
The first ball was hit for a six over the cow corner fielder before Jos Buttler ended up shelling a difficult catch at long-off on the very next delivery. Warner’s luckiest moment came on the final ball, however.
Chahal tossed one up and gave it enough revolutions for the ball to turn big. It went past Warner’s swing and brushed the leg stump, which led to the bail lighting up. However, it went back into place, leaving Sanju Samson and Chahal bewildered.
