Kolkata Knight Riders take on Sunrisers Hyderabad in match 25 of IPL 2022 at the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai on April 15. This is the first of the two games both sides will play this season. KKR have managed to hold onto the second spot in the points table despite their big loss over Delhi Capitals in their previous game. SRH, on the other hand, is placed number eighth at the moment.

RR vs GT Dream11 Prediction

KKR’s loss against DC exposed a few weaknesses of the side. Their opening combination needs to be looked at with Ajinkya Rahane not scoring runs this season. Also, their bowling line-up needs to do a better job at the death. Aaron Finch is now available for selection and needs to be included in the playing XI. It will be interesting to see how KKR does that. Meanwhile, we look at the possible playing XI of Kolkata Knight Riders against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Finch now that he is available for selection should get to play matches consistently. He was roped in as Alex Hales’ replacement. Finch coming in will mean Ajinkya Rahane has to make a way for him. This in turn will also mean that SAm, Billings being an overseas specialist needs to sit out to make a place for Sheldon Jackson.

Venkatesh Iyer

Iyer scored a good fifty against Mumbai Indians. However, due to his knee injury, he could not score much against DC in their previous game. Iyer is a key player for KKR at the top of the order and the time has come to be consistent for his side.

Iyer scored his first fifty for KKR in a losing cause against his former franchise Delhi Capitals. He spoke about sticking together as a side after the loss. He will need to marshal his troops well to get them back to winning ways. Losses in quick succession can get them low on the points table.

Nitish Rana

Rana forged a good partnership with skipper Shreyas Iyer in the previous game. However, just when he needed to carry on longer, he was dismissed. Rana needs to play long in the middle order and set the platform for KKR’s finishers to take advantage of it.

Sheldon Jackson

Jackson will replace Rahane to fit in Aaron Finch in the playing XI. In the couple of games that he played, Jackson looked safe as a keeper but did not contribute much with the bat. He needs to score with the bat too if he wants to be a regular feature in KKR’s playing XI.

Andre Russell

Russell struggled against Delhi Capitals as it was too big a score to chase down. He will need to get back into his range-hitting form. He bowled just two overs in the game and took the wicket of Rishabh Pant. A fit Andre Russell can be a big blessing for KKR.

Sunil Narine

Despite KKR conceding 215 runs, Sunil Narine bowled a spell of 2/21 against DC. He has been bowling well for KKR and against SRH as well he will be their biggest hope. KKR would ideally hope that he contributes a bit more with the bat as well.

Pat Cummins

Cummins went for 51 in his spell against Delhi and was wayward. He needs to bowl within a channel and his job is to limit the run-scoring in the final overs. He is yet to hit his bowling strides in the tournament.

Umesh Yadav

Yadav with 10 wickets is second in the Purple Cap list at the moment. After having a good first few games, Yadav was expensive against Delhi Capitals. He went for 48 off his four. With the Brabourne stadium being the best batting wicket in the IPL season so far, Yadav needs to depend on his changes.

Rasik Salam / Shivam Mavi

KKR can choose between Shivam Mavi and Rasik Salam. Both of them are good domestic talents and have been good for KKR so far, Ideally, Salam should be given another game since he has not done too badly in the games that he has played.

The mystery spinners conclude KKR’s strongest looking playing XI against SRH. He will pair up with Sunil Narine to control the middle overs. So far this season, he has picked up, he has picked up four wickets in five matches.
