Rohit Sharma the captain of team Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) has come up with a heartfelt message for the fans after the defending champions were unable to make it into the playoffs stage of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

Notably, Mumbai Indians (MI) is the most successful franchise in the history of the tournament as they have won the championship 5 times ( in 2013,2015,2017,2019 and 2020).

However, the Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians failed to qualify for playoffs in 2021 because of a poor net run rate as both Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) won 7 games and had 14 points but due to an excellent net run-rate, Knight Riders were able to qualify.

Heading into their last group stage game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Rohit Sharma and co. needed to win the game by the margin of 170+ runs to overtake the run rate of KKR. In the match, batters showed aggressive intent and MI won the game in a dominating manner but were unable to win the game by the required margin.
